Isshin-Ryu, the whole heart way the one heart way.

The Whole heart way is just that. Approach every job, every task with a wholehearted attitude. Make every action you do count. Isshin-Ryu Karate is a Martial Art from Okinawa. It is comprised of elements from Shorin-Ryu and Goju-Ryu. I have trained in Isshin-Ryu Karate since 1987 and have based my lifestyle around the amazing beneficial factors training in Karate offers.

There are 3 factors that my Sensei taught me that I teach to all my students and I have found they pertain to life. Self Confidence, Self Discipline, and ultimately Self Defense.

Self Discipline and Self Confidence are the base for the triangle to attain Self Defense. If one of those base elements is missing then you can not fully achieve the goal of self-defense. The triangle will fall flat.

Self Discipline.

Discipline yourself to take the information given to you by your Sensei and practice practice practice. Always come to class prepared to learn and do the best you can.

Self Confidence.

Train, train, train, repeat. With constant training with drills and kata and basics…
